The Yenta’s favorite breakfast spots!
Everyday is a day for breakfast at Toast! I love the egg scrambles and instead of fruit, I order the “chop chop” – it’s like Israeli salad with chopped tomatoes and cucumbers. http://www.toastbakerycafe.net
For pancakes, Griddle Cafe is it – but these pancakes are a serious treat! You cannot eat them everyday…“Mounds of Pleasure” is what I dream of – coconut and chocolate chip filled pancakes!! http://www.thegriddlecafe.com/
My favorite extremely buttery egg sandwich comes from Joan’s on Third. It’s called the New York Breakfast Sandwich – scrambled eggs, bacon & Monterey Jack cheese on toasted country bread. And don’t even ask – there are no substitutions on the sandwich…and they’re right – it’s perfect, as is!!http://www.joansonthird.com/breakfast_menu.php?id=7
