NOTE: I’M SENDING THIS QUESTION OUT AGAIN – PEOPLE, GO OUT AND CELEBRATE!!!
“Dear Yenta, Where are some places to celebrate 4th of July in Los Angeles?”
Here are some dynamite spots across LA and The Valley to celebrate!!
Hollywood Bowl: This venue is so popular, it celebrates the 4th of July for three entire nights: July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. This year, John Fogerty is the special musical guest. The event starts at 7:30, and you must buy tickets in advanced for assigned seating.
Queen Mary: Performers, dancing, several DJ’s, outdoor nightclub, radio stations, and lots and lots of fireworks. If you go early, you can spend the day touring and shopping on the Queen. Then at 9 pm, the fireworks start. Tickets are $25 for adults and $12.50 for kids. There are also festivities on Friday and Sunday.
CBS Studios’ Fourth of July Fireworks Festival: on Radford in Studio City, this is truly a family event with magic shows, a kids’ zone, strolling pirates, tattooing (spray on) and more. Of course, there will be music and fireworks as well. Tickets are available at the Studio City farmer’s market or online at the chamber website. Get them soon – there may not any left on the day of the event. Adults are $15, and kids are $8. (Under 6 are free). There is also VIP seating if you’d like to sit on the rooftops.
Rose Bowl: This year, the AmericaFest will be a fabulous celebration of Independence Day with music, food, family fun (with rides!) and fireworks. “Dear Yenta, The non-profit I work for needs a videographer for 2 hours of filming, very light (almost no editing) and DVD burning/duplicating. Do you know anyone who needs the work and could give this lil’ ol 501(c)(3) a good price?”
My first thought is that Janet Strauss would be great for you!! She is really sought after, but is also committed to helping others, especially Charities.

Mobile restaurants are the rage right now in LA. It seems like they’re everywhere. Most are on twitter, where they announce their locations throughout the day. Just think of the possibilities!!!
